Robbed $7500
In November 2020 I got my 1st job as an IT Assistant.
It took me an entire year after graduation to get hired.
I was excited to get out the house coming off the heels of a lockdown.
The world changed and so did the world of work.
This new job landscape was unfamiliar and scary.
But what made it worse was the betrayal.
The government agency that employed me as a trainee didn’t pay me my 1st month’s salary.
I was devastated. I checked my bank account frantically hoping to see it go from $0 → $7500.
It stayed the same.
Did I not fill out my timesheet correctly?
Did it not get delivered to the office?
Did they just rob me?
Surely they would get this sorted out…right?
They didn’t…
After getting many runarounds, telling me call, email, write letters, talk to your boss to contact the agency and sort it out and escalate it to higher authorities.
We tried all of that.
A trainee even told me to resort to arson and firebomb the headquarters. I was full of rage. I worked for 3 months without my own car and without a paycheck to keep me afloat.
I wanted to do more than that. I wanted to personally take the money out the wallets of those responsible. Plus interest, for the amount of money they made me spent buying phone card top ups, after they’d put me on hold and my money ran out.
They haven’t paid me to this date.
But I have faith.

They are hurting themselves.
I hate 9-5 jobs.
They’re great to keep you afloat but they’ll never create generational wealth.
The solution? Be your own boss.
